API Supplementary Terms

1. About these API Supplementary Terms

1.1 These API Supplementary Terms (“API Terms”) govern access to and use of any TradieView application programming interface, webhooks, developer tools and related documentation (collectively, the “API”).

1.2 These API Terms form part of the Agreement between Tradie View Pty Ltd (“TradieView”, “we”, “us” or “our”) and the Customer and apply in addition to the Terms & Conditions, Product Terms, Acceptable Use Policy and Privacy Policy.

1.3 These API Terms sit within the order of precedence described in the Product Terms. Where these API Terms impose additional or more specific requirements for API use, those requirements apply in addition to the Acceptable Use Policy and do not limit it.

1.4 Capitalised terms not defined in these API Terms have the meaning given in the Terms & Conditions or Product Terms.

2. Licence

2.1 Subject to the Agreement and payment of applicable Fees, Tradie View Pty Ltd grants the Customer a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence during the subscription term to access and use the API for the Customer’s internal business purposes and approved integrations.

TradieView may revoke this licence on the grounds described in Section 3.5, on termination of the underlying subscription, or for material breach of these API Terms.

2.2 The licence is personal to the Customer and may not be assigned or sublicensed except as expressly permitted in writing by TradieView.

3. Access Credentials and Security

3.1 TradieView will issue API keys, tokens or other credentials to authorised users.

3.2 The Customer is responsible for the security and confidentiality of all credentials and for all activity that occurs under those credentials.

3.3 Credentials must not be shared with unauthorised persons or embedded in publicly accessible code repositories.

3.4 The Customer must promptly notify TradieView of any actual or suspected unauthorised use of credentials or the API at support@tradieview.com.

3.5 TradieView may revoke, rotate or suspend credentials at any time where reasonably necessary for security, compliance, misuse, non-payment, or to protect service integrity.

4. Usage Limits and Fair Use

4.1 The Customer must comply with any published rate limits, quotas or usage thresholds applicable to the API.

4.2 If no numeric limit is specified for a given use, the Customer must not use the API in a way that materially degrades Platform performance for other customers or is inconsistent with the published API documentation.

Other than in cases of suspected security risk or fraud, TradieView will provide the Customer with reasonable notice and an opportunity to adjust its usage before restricting access under this clause.

4.3 TradieView may monitor API usage for security, performance and compliance purposes.

5. Prohibited Use of the API

5.1 The Customer must not:

• resell or sublicense API access to a third party without TradieView’s prior written consent;
• use multiple accounts or credentials to circumvent rate limits or usage restrictions;
• use non-public information obtained through API access (such as pricing structures, rate-limit thresholds, or undocumented endpoint behaviour) to build a competing product;
• use the API in any way that violates the Acceptable Use Policy or applicable law; or
• use the API in violation of applicable trade sanctions or export control laws, consistent with the Product Terms.

5.2 The Customer must not use the API to systematically extract data for the purpose of reconstructing TradieView’s non-public business rules, pricing logic, or underlying software, or to build a product that substitutes for the TradieView Platform using TradieView’s non-public information.

This clause does not restrict the Customer’s ordinary use of its own data (including data retrieved via the API) for its own internal business analysis.

6. Third-Party Developers and Integrations

6.1 The Customer is responsible for the acts and omissions of any third-party developer or integration partner it authorises to access the API on its behalf.

6.2 The Customer must ensure that any such third party complies with these API Terms and the Acceptable Use Policy.

6.3 Where the Customer’s use of the API involves a third-party developer or integration partner receiving Customer Data that includes personal information, the Customer is responsible for ensuring that the transfer and the developer’s handling of that information complies with applicable privacy law and with the Customer’s own obligations under the Privacy Policy.

7. Changes to the API

7.1 TradieView may modify, update or discontinue API endpoints, versions or functionality from time to time.

7.2 TradieView will use reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of material changes where practical.

7.3 Deprecated endpoints may continue to function for a limited period but are not guaranteed.

7.4 Where TradieView makes a breaking change to an API endpoint or version that a Customer is actively using (meaning a change that would require the Customer to modify its integration to avoid failure or degraded functionality), TradieView will provide at least 30 days’ prior notice where practical, in addition to the longer notice required under Section 10 for full product discontinuation.

8. Support

8.1 API support is provided in accordance with the Customer’s Plan, any applicable SOW, and TradieView’s published support policies.

8.2 TradieView does not guarantee that every integration request or custom development need will be supported.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 TradieView and its licensors retain all right, title and interest in the API, documentation, software and related intellectual property.

9.2 The Customer retains ownership of its own Customer Data accessed or transmitted via the API.

9.3 Feedback, suggestions or improvement requests provided by the Customer in relation to the API may be used by TradieView without restriction or payment.

10. Discontinuation of API Access

10.1 TradieView may discontinue a paid API product or major version by giving at least 90 days’ prior written notice, except where earlier discontinuation is required for security, legal or third-party reasons.

10.2 On discontinuation or termination of API access, the Customer must cease all use of the API and delete any stored credentials.

11. Liability

11.1 The limitations of liability, exclusions of consequential loss and liability cap set out in the Terms & Conditions apply to the API and these API Terms.

11.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, the API is provided on an “as available” basis. TradieView does not warrant that the API will be uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every third-party system.
