API Supplementary Terms
Note: Public API access is currently offered to enterprise customers by arrangement. Contact support@tradieview.com to discuss API access.
1. Application
1.1 These API Supplementary Terms apply where a Customer is granted API access, purchases API access, uses API credentials, or connects applications to the TradieView API.
1.2 These terms supplement the Terms & Conditions and Product Terms.
2. API licence
2.1 Subject to the Agreement, Tradie View Pty Ltd grants the Customer a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence during the subscription term to access and use the API for the Customer's internal business purposes and approved integrations.
2.2 API access must be used in accordance with documentation, security requirements, usage limits and written instructions issued by TradieView.
3. API credentials and security
3.1 API keys, tokens, secrets and credentials are confidential.
3.2 The Customer must keep API credentials secure, use encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS), restrict access, rotate credentials when required and prevent credentials from being embedded in public repositories, client-side code, screenshots or unsecured files.
3.3 The Customer is responsible for all API activity using its credentials.
3.4 The Customer must notify support@tradieview.com immediately of suspected unauthorised use.
3.5 TradieView may revoke, rotate, regenerate, disable or restrict API credentials where reasonably necessary for security, compliance, misuse, non-payment or service integrity.
4. API limits
4.1 API use may be subject to rate limits, call limits, data transfer limits, storage limits, concurrency limits, endpoint restrictions, feature limits or plan restrictions.
4.2 If no limits are specified, the Customer must not use the API in a way TradieView reasonably considers excessive, abusive or inconsistent with documentation.
4.3 TradieView may monitor API usage for capacity planning, billing, security, compliance and service integrity.
5. Restrictions
5.1 The Customer must not exceed limits, bypass rate controls, create multiple accounts to avoid limits, use distributed systems to circumvent limits, scrape data, harvest data, access other customers' data, reverse engineer endpoints, derive source code, build a competing product, resell access, perform unauthorised security testing, use the API for unlawful purposes, or degrade the Platform.
5.2 The Customer must not use the API to create competing datasets, competitive intelligence, benchmarking outputs or products that substitute for TradieView without written permission.
6. Third-party developers
6.1 If the Customer uses consultants, developers or integration partners, the Customer remains responsible for their conduct.
6.2 The Customer must ensure third-party developers comply with the Agreement and protect API credentials and Customer Data.
7. Changes and versioning
7.1 TradieView may update, modify, replace, deprecate or discontinue API endpoints or versions.
7.2 TradieView will use reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of material changes where practical.
7.3 The Customer is responsible for updating integrations to maintain compatibility.
8. Overages and throttling
8.1 If API use exceeds limits, TradieView may throttle, suspend, restrict access, charge overage Fees, require plan upgrade, or require changes to the Customer's integration.
9. Support
9.1 API access does not include custom development, integration building, third-party system support or debugging of Customer code unless expressly agreed in an SOW.
10. API discontinuation
10.1 If TradieView permanently discontinues a paid API product, it will use reasonable efforts to provide at least 90 days' prior notice and migration information where practical.
10.2 API access ends when the relevant subscription ends unless agreed otherwise.
