Cancellation & Refund Policy
1. Purpose
1.1 This policy explains how Customers can cancel TradieView subscriptions, request refunds, export data and close accounts.
1.2 It supplements the Terms & Conditions and applies to all Customers.
2. Free trial cancellation
2.1 You may cancel your free trial at any time during the 14-day trial period without charge.
2.2 If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription on the plan selected at sign-up and Fees will become payable.
3. Cooling-off period (paid subscriptions)
3.1 If you are a new Customer paying for a subscription for the first time, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your first payment (the "cooling-off period") provided you have not materially used the Platform in that period.
3.2 The cooling-off period applies once per Customer account.
3.3 Refunds during the cooling-off period are processed back to the original payment method via Stripe and typically appear within 5–10 business days.
4. Cancellation of monthly subscriptions
4.1 Monthly subscriptions may be cancelled at any time through the Platform or by contacting support@tradieview.com.
4.2 Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
4.3 Outside the cooling-off period, monthly Fees already paid are not refundable on cancellation.
5. Cancellation of annual subscriptions
5.1 Annual subscriptions may be cancelled at any time, but will remain active until the end of the paid annual term.
5.2 Outside the cooling-off period, annual Fees already paid are not refundable.
5.3 Annual subscriptions do not auto-renew if cancelled before the renewal date.
6. Cancellation of fixed-term/enterprise subscriptions
6.1 Fixed-term or enterprise subscriptions (including 36-month terms) are governed by the SOW.
6.2 Early termination does not release the Customer from paying Fees for the remainder of the committed term unless expressly agreed in writing or required by law.
7. Onboarding and consulting services
7.1 Onboarding and consulting Fees for services already delivered are non-refundable.
7.2 If scheduled onboarding is cancelled:
- Less than 5 business days before start: 100% of Fees may be charged;
- 6–9 business days before start: 50% of Fees may be charged;
- 10+ business days before start: no cancellation fee (unless SOW states otherwise).
8. Prepaid credits
8.1 Prepaid credits may be used only for eligible services stated in the SOW.
8.2 Cancellation terms for prepaid credit bookings mirror the onboarding cancellation schedule in section 7.
8.3 Prepaid credits are not redeemable for cash unless required by law.
9. Refund process and payment reversals
9.1 All eligible refunds are processed through Stripe back to the original payment method.
9.2 Tradie View Pty Ltd may process full or partial payment reversals through Stripe via our Super Admin tools in cases of:
- Cooling-off period refund requests;
- Billing errors or duplicate charges;
- Failure to deliver committed services;
- Fraudulent charges;
- Other circumstances required by the Australian Consumer Law or agreed in writing.
9.3 Refund requests should be sent to support@tradieview.com with your account email, invoice number and reason.
10. Customer-caused delays
10.1 If TradieView's work is delayed or extended because of the Customer's acts, omissions, missing information, inaccurate data, unavailable staff, third-party delays, changed requirements or failure to provide access, TradieView may charge additional time and expenses at then-current rates.
11. Account closure and data export
11.1 After cancellation or termination, the Customer may export available Customer Data for up to 30 days, subject to payment of outstanding Fees and technical limitations.
11.2 The Customer is responsible for downloading or exporting data during the export period.
11.3 After the export period, TradieView may delete, de-identify or archive Customer Data in accordance with its retention practices.
11.4 Backup copies may remain for a limited period before being overwritten.
12. Reactivation
12.1 If a Customer requests reactivation within the 30-day export period, TradieView may restore access where technically possible, subject to payment of outstanding amounts and current subscription Fees.
12.2 Reactivation after the export period may not be possible.
13. Australian Consumer Law
13.1 Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantees, rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
13.2 You may be entitled to a refund, repair or replacement where a service fails to meet a consumer guarantee.
