Pushing it to your own domain

Already own a domain like yourbiz.com.au? We'll point it at your new Tradie Web AI site. You'll need access to your domain registrar (the company you bought the domain from — e.g. CrazyDomains, GoDaddy, VentraIP, Namecheap, Cloudflare).

What we'll need from you

The exact domain you want to use (e.g. smithplumbing.com.au).
The login for your domain registrar (or temporary DNS-edit access for our team).
Decide: full DNS delegation (we manage everything) or two CNAME records added by you (your registrar still hosts DNS).
Existing email records (MX) so we preserve your mail when we update DNS.

Step-by-step DNS setup

Log in to your domain registrar

Sign in to the account where you bought the domain (CrazyDomains, GoDaddy, VentraIP, Namecheap, Cloudflare, etc.). Find the "DNS Management" or "Manage Records" section.

Add a CNAME record

Create a record with Type=CNAME, Host=www, Value=sites.tradieview.com.au, TTL=300. (Exact values are provided in your TradieView dashboard once your AI site is published.)

Add an ALIAS / ANAME record

For the apex (e.g. smithplumbing.com.au without "www"), add Type=ALIAS or ANAME (or A record if your registrar doesn't support ALIAS), Value=sites.tradieview.com.au.

Keep your email MX records

Leave any existing MX records untouched. Only the website-related records (A, AAAA, CNAME for "www") change.

Wait for SSL provisioning

DNS propagation takes 5 minutes to 24 hours globally. Our system auto-detects when the records resolve and issues your free SSL cert.

Confirm — you're live

Visit https://yourdomain.com.au and you should see your AI-built site. If anything's off, hit the chat — we monitor and fix it for you.
